Gingka Hagane once said that “A Beyblade's true strength doesn't have anything to do with attack power or stamina, it attacks with the feelings of the Blader that's connected with it”.
This may partly be true; however, a good Jockey needs a good horse, and the same applies to Beyblading.
We have ranked the strongest Beyblades from the original series, the Metal series, the Spin-off, and the newest Burst series.
First up on our list is Ashindra, or Ashura, is a right-spin defense type Beyblade. Without complicating things, the reason for it being known as Ashura and Ashindra is because, in the series and the original toy line Takara Tomy, it’s known as Ashura, but in the western world, it was released by Hasbro as Ashindra in part of the Burst system of toys.
Ashindra befriends Arman Kusaba and becomes his Bey.
Combinations: Bushin Ashura A5 Hurricane Keep Ten

Kerbeus is inspired by Greek mythology and is a pseudonym for Cerberus, who is the three-headed hound of Hades, the God of the Dead. In Beyblade, Kerbeus first makes an appearance in 2015 during the Beyblade Burst series. Throughout various series, Kerbeus takes up a variety of combinations and owners. All of Kerbeus’ versions are right-spin Beyblades. Kerbeus has the highest resistance of all right-spin cores.
We believe that Kerbeus owns the right to be amongst the most powerful Beyblades because of its high Attack and Stamina potential.
Combinations: Kerbeus Central Defense, Kaiser Kerbeus Limited Press, Guardian Kerbeus Heavy Revolve, Hazard Kerbeus 7 Atomic, Chain Kerbeus Fortress Yard'-6
Types: Defense, Stamina
Owners: Ken Midori, Kyle Hakim

Draciel is one of the 4 sacred Bit-Beasts and has appeared in Beyblade since 2001. He is Max’s Bey and was inspired by Chinese mythology and in particular the Black Tortoise Xuan wu, or as known in Japan; “Genbu”. He is known for his Defensive strength and is used by Max to defeat several opponents.
For instance, Max defeats Tyson in the original series with Draciel. Tyson is meant to be one of the best Beybladers and has the strongest spiritual connection with his Bey, so for Max, this is a strong achievement.

7. Phantom Orion
Phantom Orion, owned by Chris, is mainly a Stamina-based Beyblade, but has also been known to be able to switch between Attack as well by removing and flipping its metal frame. Orion is inspired by “The Hunter” in Greek Mythology. Generally, Phantom’s stamina mode is better due to his ability to compete at the top level of Stamina combos. It’s also the first Beyblade with a completely plastic core.
Known for being one of the Beyblades that can spin forever, and delivering heavy attacks, bladers hate coming up against Phantom Orion.
Combinations: Phantom Orion B:D
Type: Stamina, Attack
Series: Beyblade: Metal Fury
Dragoon, who is the main Bit-Beast of the series, and in fact, the first-ever Beyblade released, is Tyson’s Bey. One of Dragoon’s most powerful moves is a giant tornado which is created out of the surrounding air and is capable of blowing the opponent’s Beyblade out of the stadium, as it did to Carlos in Episode 4 of the original series.
Combinations: Spin Dragoon, Dragoon Grip Attacker, Dragoon S, Dragoon F, Dragoon V, Master Dragoon, Dragoon V2, Dragoon G, Dragoon GT, Dragoon MS, Dragoon MSUV

Zeus is named after the God of the Sky in ancient Greek mythology. In Beyblade, Zeus is unbelievably powerful and can predict the next move of his opponent. Using his special power; King of Darkness, Zeus can deploy a large barrage of striking attacks where he delivers an intense smash hit at the end.
Brooklyn, who is Zeus’ owner is regarded as a genius Beyblader, who was able to win every battle with little effort up until he fought Kai. Therefore, Zeus is rightfully placed in this list.
Series: Beyblade G-Revolution.
4. Cosmic Pegasus
Pegasus is arguably one of the strongest Beyblades in the entire universe. It has 6 combinations and various special moves. The special moves include but are not limited to Full Power, Galaxy Nova, Meteor Shower Attack, Starblast Attack, Storm Bringer, and Tornado Wing.
Pegasus’ blader Gingka Hagane is considered to be one of the best bladers in the Metal saga. He uses Pegasus throughout the entirety of the series and wins many battles.
Combinations: Pegasis 105F, Storm Pegasus 105RF, Galaxy Pegasus W105R2F, Cosmic Pegasus F:D, Samurai Pegasus W105R2F

Dranzer is another of the main 4 bit-beats who are considered to be the most dangerous. His trainer Kai is arguably one of the best Bladers in the original series. His battles with Tyson (who is the main character) always seem to come close, leaving many fans in a constant debate about who is strongest. Tyson even admits that Kai is better than him. In addition, Kai is the only person able to control black Dranzer, which is considered uncontrollable due to its power.
Combinations: Ultimate Frostic Dranzer, Dranzer Auto Change Balancer, Dranzer S, Dranzer F, Dranzer V, Dranzer V2, Dranzer G, Dranzer GT, Dranzer MS, Black Dranzer MS, Dranzer MF

2. Diablo Nemesis
In the Beyblade Metal Fury series, Rago and Pluto instigate the Nemesis Crisis which almost ended with the world’s destruction. Rago, known as the Child of Nemesis aims to cause as much chaos as possible by re-unleashing Nemesis’ full power which can control the planet and plunge it into darkness.
However, 9 legendary bladers: who consist of the Four-Season Bladers and the Solar System Bladers get tasked with protecting the world from Nemesis’ revival. They end up succeeding by defeating Nemesis which solves the crisis.
Combinations: Prototype Nemesis, Diablo Nemesis X:D
Owners: King Hades, Rago Pluto
Series: Beyblade: Metal Fury
1. L Drago Destructor
Initially known as “The Forbidden Bey”, L-Drago came from a meteorite carrying dark energy through space. Ryuga finds L-Drago after hearing of a forbidden Beyblade hidden inside a template at Koma Village. He then raids the temple and passes the booby traps to become L-Drago’s owner. Ryuga and L-Drago defeat many opponents, in fact, his win percentage is very impressive, scoring a high 97% in the Metal Fury series. The only loss was against Rago and Diablo Nemesis during the Nemesis Crisis.
For us, the most powerful Beyblade is L-Drago due to its owner Ryuga being arguably the most powerful Beyblader. He lost only two battles, one of which was to Gingka, and the plot of that episode was that Ryuga’s Bey L-Drago was controlling him.
Combinations: L-Drago 105F, Lightning L-Drago 100HF, Meteo L-Drago LW105LF, L-Drago Destructor F:S, L-Drago Guardian S130MB

What does this mean for competitive Beyblade?
The good news about competitive Beyblade is that you can always find a way to win regardless of which type of Beyblade you have at hand!
With the right launch technique, you can turn an Attack Beyblade that can struggle against every other type, into a monster of high risk and high reward!
A great example of an Attack Beyblades is the new Stone Nemesis N7 and Salvage Valtryek Rashad V7, which can turn their typically-low defense into a respectable stat when used with a great launch technique!
Another aspect to competitive is how the meta, (the popular strategy or unspoken rule), evolves and adapts as more Beyblades are created and the results after each competition are released.
The meta can heavily influence what Beyblade you choose to take into battle, for example, with the power of Stamina types currently, Defense types are less common.
The choice is up to the competitor if they want to opt for the popular choices and hone their skill in other areas while the better-performing Beyblade takes care in the ring, or if they want to choose the anti-meta route, and take your opponents by surprise with a unique choice of spinner that can beat the more common ones through un-common means!
Whatever the way you would like to get into competitive Beyblade, having fun is the most important thing, and Toptoys2u is here to help you for all your Beyblade needs!
